People with high Strategic Themes generally like to ponder “What ifs” scenarios, and they like to think many steps ahead.

With that, it is important for people with Strong Strategic themes to realise that sometimes they are (way) ahead of other people in terms of having thought through things.  This can be extremely frustrating for people with high Strategic themes who are unable to get their thoughts across adequately, and would sometimes like to tell others “I told you so!” when others do not listen to them.

A good thing for people with high Strategic Theme to learn is to realise that you may have thought of things that others have not.  Learn how to articulate your thoughts and that people through that same thought process that comes so naturally to you.  Yes… that same thought process that comes naturally to you, might not come so naturally to others.  Learn not to be frustrated when others do not see what you see, and help them to to see it.  In some cases, your idea/approach is before it’s time, and you would probably need to be more patient and give it sometime.

If you are working with someone you know has high Strategic theme, why not take more time to ask for the thought processes behind what they are recommending.  It may be more long-drawn and complex that you may like, but you may actually learn something new and discover something you had not thought of before.  After some time of working with someone with high Strategic theme, you may even learn to trust that the decisions made by this person is well thought through, and rely more on this person to help make decisions.
